The cyclone, which recorded wind speeds of up to 120 miles per hour as of 6:00 AM GMT, is presently veering north-west in the Caribbean Sea and is anticipated to reach land by Tuesday, based on data from hurricane specialists.

Advisories of electricity outages and disruption to utilities have been released as the hurricane brings up to thirty inches of precipitation and coastal flooding as high as thirteen feet above normal levels. "Find safe refuge immediately," inhabitants have been urged.

The cyclone is the 13th hurricane in the ongoing Atlantic storm period, which usually concludes in November.
